rambling updates

The last time I blogged was almost one year ago..

I guess I've been busy... and lazy

Let me see if I can highlight some key events since December 2012...

Katie enrolled in grad school part time starting January 2013 so she's officially the busiest person with the hardest job in the world.

I finally said good-bye to my 1996 Nissan Maxima and welcomed Mazda 3 as my mid-life crisis toy car.

Our senior pastor left our church to go to another church, and we also left the church at the end of September. To say the least, it's been the most interesting, uncomfortable, and uneasy struggle for me. After a month of taking a break, I've started looking for a new church this past Sunday.

My close friend Charlie, who got married in January at Cancun, is now expecting a baby this Month. Katie was kind enough to open our house for their baby shower. She spent ton of time preparing for the shower but it was all worth it.

I've been studying Laravel for a year now. I was at some point very comfortable with Laravel version 3 but then version 4 was released at the end of May and I had to start my studying over with the new version.

I've been enjoying watching football games on Sundays with Aaron. I'm also thankful for my job, which allows me to take a break for 30 minutes when kids are back from school so I can throw football with Aaron outside. I definitely have the best job in the world because I get to see my kids at home most of the day and have dinner with them every night.

I also began to appreciate our house more due to the location. Even though we don't have a yard space for our kids to play, they can play on the street in front of the house almost every day because we hardly have any cars driving by on our street. It's big and wide enough for them to ride bikes, play baseball, basketball, football, and even draw on the street with chalks and run around.

Kara is the center of my love these days... She's growing up as a princess and a cutie pie. Jordan is always mischievous.

Emoticons are a great way to visually express how you feel.
However, there are times when unintended content is converted to emoticon because the content happens to have one of the emoticon symbols. That's why it's always good idea to preview your comment before posting and when you see this type of problem, you can indicate NOT to auto convert.
