access your domain emails using Gmail

If you have your own website domain, either for personal or business, you will most likely have an email address associated with that domain.

For example, if you own the website then you probably will have or email address.

Unless you are an enterprise company, you will most likely be accessing your email via POP, IMAP, or a webmail over HTTP.

Here's alternate way of accessing the emails for your domains: Gmail

That's right! You can use Gmail to access emails associated with your domains if you open a Google Apps account for your domain, which is absolutely free.

Here are the 3 reasons why you should do it:
  1. It's Gmail! Owned and operated by Google... and you probably already have a personal Gmail account so you are already familiar with Gmail user interface.
  2. You can access it via POP, IMAP, Webmail, and even in native iPhone, iPad, Android email applications!
  3. You get all the power of Gmail, such as search engine and one of the best SPAM filtering.

I just created Google Apps account for one of my business domains and was able to access the admin email account using Gmail. It's really cool.

So what are you waiting for? Once you use it, you will never go back to plain, old, sucky web mail account for your domains.

Emoticons are a great way to visually express how you feel.
However, there are times when unintended content is converted to emoticon because the content happens to have one of the emoticon symbols. That's why it's always good idea to preview your comment before posting and when you see this type of problem, you can indicate NOT to auto convert.
