It turned out this was one of the best decisions we've made during the trip
Everyone passed out and had difficult time waking up in the morning but poor Gomoboo woke up at least an hour early to make breakfast for everyone, and it was really good.
For Katie and I, we really appreciated the fact that we can sleep in longer thanks to Gomoboo. Even if we were to eat breakfast at a restaurant, we would had to wake up a bit earlier just to set time aside for getting there and especially the waiting time at the restaurant.
After eating the delicious breakfast, we put all the dishes in the dishwasher, got ready with all our matching t-shirts, and left the villa for Disney's Magic Kingdom!
We were pleasantly surprised that Disney was so close to our villa when we saw the sign just few minutes after driving on the main road.
When we got out of car at the parking lot, we knew it was going to be a good day as the weather was drop dead gorgeous. It turned out that Day 2 was the warmest day during our stay, which was mid 70's through out the day, hitting 80 in the afternoon.
Here's a picture of us while waiting for the monorail that takes you to the Magic Kingdom park entrance from the parking lot.
After a short ride on the monorail, we finally arrived at Magic Kingdom!
They had a huge Christmas tree and holiday decoration all over the place (since it was only a day after Christmas)
We got all excited to see the castle at the end of the main street and excitement kept building up as we were walking towards it...
We had to stop few times on the main street to take pictures with the castle in the background as everyone else in the park was doing the same (that's what you do on the main street in Magic Kingdom or call Geiko to save 15% or more on car insurance )
Unlike Universal Studios, Disney has amazing Fast Pass reservation system, which allows each visitor to book reservation for 3 rides in advance. After you used the 3 Fast Passes, you can make reservation for 1 Fast Pass at a time, based on availability of course.
Gomoboo made reservations for Toy Story, Peter Pan, and Space Mountain rides so we first hit the Toy Story ride.
Gomo and Gomoboo booked the Peter Pan ride because this ride is apparently very popular for no good reason and has one of the longest wait lines without the Fast Pass. Gomo and Gomoboo knew this because they come to Disney World every other year! Here's a picture of Kara riding Peter Pan ride with mom and dad.
We then watched Mickey's PhilharMagic, which is a 3-D movie.
After the show, we split up and Kara went to meet Rapunzel princess with Gomo and Gomoboo, and the boys went to ride Space Mountain ride with mommy and daddy. Space Mountain is a roller-coaster ride in the dark with sudden drops and it was pretty fun. Boys liked it alot. Meanwhile, Kara met Rapunzel.
After the Space Mountain, we met up and had lunch and some dessert.
After the lunch, we sat and laughed at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, which is a live comedy show. It was pretty funny and really cool that they get audiences involved throughout the show.
We then got on Mad Tea Party, followed by Little Mermaid ride.
We then stopped by the castle to see the A Frozen Holiday Wish show
It was pretty amazing at the end of the show while so fitting for that day (again, it was day after Christmas). Here's a video of the show taken by someone else.
After the show, we went to ride the Pirates of the Caribbean, which was a very calm water ride on a boat. It wasn't that great for me because I haven't seen the movie yet.
We then got on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin then had a quick bite to eat afterwards before the Fireworks.
There were mobs of people waiting for hours for the Fireworks at the castle... and I wasn't surprised at all after watching the Fireworks.. It was truly spectacular and amazing... It was definitely the highlight of the day for me. I have never seen anything like it before.
You have to be there in person and experience it to fully understand how magnificent it is... this video does not justify...
It was around 9:30pm when the fireworks was over but kids were not tired at all, if anything they were more energetic and excited. It was in a way more fun because the park was getting less crowded as many people with babies and toddlers were leaving the park as it was getting late for them.
After the fireworks, we headed over to Tomorrowland to ride the PeopleMover, followed by Tomorrowland Speedway, which is a gas run go-cart on a track
After that, we went to ride the "it's a small world" boat ride that takes you to different countries, including Korea
When we came out, "it's a small world after all" song was stuck in our heads... it's inevitable...
We then rode on Winnie the Pooh, Barnstormer, and Dumbo rides.
It wasn't over yet. We saved the best rides for last because these two roller coasters have super long lines but there are no lines when it's close to the park closing hour
Kara and mommy went to meet Micky Mouse while rest of us went to ride the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Finally, we ended the night by riding the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which is one of the newest rides in Magic Kingdom.
We walked through the castle as the park was closing and could not have been more satisfied with the day...
We are glad that we came with Gomo and Gomoboo, who knew the park inside and out, and were also experts in how to book Fast Pass strategically in order to maximize the time at the park because almost all of our rides, if not every other rides, were booked using Fast Pass.
Finally for the last time, we are very happy that we chose to come to Magic Kingdom on our Day 2.
